Cascina Vione, Milan

It is the only survivor of the wars of the 7 fortified farms founded in the thirteenth century by Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Chiaravalle.

The existence of the village occurred in 1086, as a possession of the family De Villiono, and in 1240 as castrum, which became the property of the Abbey of Chiaravalle and became a grange.

It was an independent municipality until 1725, when it was annexed to Basiglio.

After decades of neglect he has taken body after being purchased by the real estate company Residenze Vione led by Arch. Danilo Doronzo that after purchasing it carried out the renovations started in 2008, transforming the village in the first italian gated community.

It has been built about 250 apartments with gardens and details of the highest level and with modern technologies in electronics, energy saving and safety while preserving intact the ancient taste of the historic buildings.

Walking inside we can still find signs of ancient chariots imprinted on the threshold of two portals of the eighteenth century, that tell travel, trade fairs and markets, signs of a past of monks, farmers and wayfarers traveling from Pavia in Milan. This historic site is protected by the Italian both from the point of view of art as well as architecture and monuments as a whole.
